Electronic load is a flexible electric load power balance system based on power electronics technology, with kilowatt-level precise control, millisecond-level rapid response performance and flexible control strategy. Electronic load is suitable for stabilization control system and grid black start coordination, especially when it is disconnected from the external grid and operated in an isolated grid. When high-power load suddenly starts or stops, if there is no protection measure, it will cause severe impact on the self-provided power plant, resulting in voltage and frequency fluctuations, ensuring the safe and stable operation of the grid.
In order to solve the problem of isolated power grid control and ensure the safe and stable operation of the isolated grid, generally speaking, the following two important systems need to be established:
1. Establish a unified power grid management and control system integrating power generation, power consumption, and energy storage (or energy dissipation), namely the power management and control system (or machine-grid coordination system).
2. Equipped with electric balancing system (electronic power load balancing system)
Equipped with electric balancing system (electronic power load balancing system)
1. Maintain frequency stability: Rapidly adjust power consumption according to grid frequency changes to maintain frequency stability.
2. Optimize power quality: Dynamic compensation regulation, stabilize voltage, suppress harmonics, and optimize power quality.
3. Realize load regulation: flexibly adjust the load according to power generation and power demand to achieve reasonable power distribution.
4. Improve grid reliability: quickly respond to emergencies, fill power gaps, and improve grid operation stability.

1. Power supply for remote areas and islands: On islands far from the mainland and remote mountainous areas, where large power grids are difficult to cover, small power generation equipment is often used to establish isolated grids. Electronic loads can adjust power in real time according to local power generation and power demand to ensure the stability of isolated grids and provide power to residents and public facilities. For example, in the wind-solar complementary isolated grid on an island, electronic loads can balance power generation fluctuations caused by weather.
2. Industrial enterprises have their own power grids: Large industrial enterprises such as steel mills and mines will build their own isolated power grids to ensure continuous and reliable production. Electronic loads can accurately allocate electricity and optimize power quality according to the power demand of different production links within the enterprise, ensure the operation of key equipment, and prevent production accidents, such as maintaining stable power supply during ironmaking in steel mill blast furnaces.
3. Some important base power supply: Some bases require independent and reliable power to ensure the operation of facilities and equipment. The electronic loads in the isolated power balance system can quickly respond to power changes in complex electromagnetic environments and special mission requirements, ensure the stability of power for important loads such as communications and radars, and improve the anti-interference ability of power supply.
4. Data center backup power supply system: Data centers have extremely high requirements for power supply stability. In addition to connecting to the main power grid, they are also equipped with diesel generator sets as backup power supplies, which form an isolated network in the event of a failure. Electronic loads can adjust power when the backup power supply is running, stabilize the isolated network, and provide high-quality power to key equipment such as servers to prevent data loss and equipment damage.
5. Emergency power supply: When natural disasters or emergencies cause the large power grid to collapse, emergency power generation vehicles and other equipment form a temporary isolated grid. Electronic loads can flexibly allocate power according to the power demand at the rescue site to ensure power supply to key loads such as emergency lighting, communications, and medical equipment, thereby improving rescue efficiency.
